Description
The Department of Primary Industries, Water and Environment invites submissions from suitably qualified and experienced consultants to ground-truth and validate the Conservation of Freshwater Ecosystem Values (CFEV) database within selected Water Management Planning catchments. The CFEV database provides information on the identification and prioritisation of ecological values associated with freshwater-dependent ecosystems across Tasmania. The project will develop a sound and robust methodology for verifying the results of the CFEV Project in the field. Application of the methodology and collection of data within key water management planning catchments (yet to be identified) is also required. Refinement of the CFEV database will support water management decision-making and provide better information for progressing water management plans across Tasmania. The consultancy will also provide assessment reports for each of the targeted catchments based on the refined CFEV data.
