Description
The Environmental Tourism Training and Employment Program seeks quotations from businesses that wish to provide service development advisory services as part of the Program's new skills delivery model for nature based and cultural heritage tourism. It is expected that three regionally based Service Development Advisors will be required to provide services between June 2003 and November 2004. Service Development Advisors will play an integral role in the Environmental Tourism Program's service delivery model, working closely with tourism organisations, registered training organisations (RTOs) and the Environmental Tourism Program to help build the capacity of tourism clusters and touring routes, develop and maintain strong and effective relationships and foster understanding of the vocational education and training system. The Environmental Tourism Training and Employment Program is funded by the Commonwealth Government and managed by the Office of Post-Compulsory Education and Training, Department of Education. It offers a range of skill development and training opportunities to operators, employees and those who wish to enter the nature based and cultural heritage sectors of the tourism industry in Tasmania.
