Description
The Department of Justice’s Karnet Prison Farm (KPF) plays a vital role in the prison system, providing work for minimum security Prisoners and producing food for consumption including milk, meat, and eggs for the State’s Prisons.
KPF has two standalone waste water treatment systems. A domestic sewage system currently managing wastewater from ablutions for approximately
550 persons per day.
The second system provides treatment of 60,000 litres of effluent per day from abattoir and dairy processing plants.
The Department of Justice KPF is seeking a Contractor to remove waste
by-products from :
- The Sewage Wastewater Treatment System (SWWTS) Spirax unit and digestor tank as required; and
- The Abattoir and Dairy Waste Water Treatment System (ADWWTS) Abattoir grease trap and effluent holding ponds for Abattoir and Dairy as required.
