Description
The Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities requires one Contractor to provide:
- National Accreditation and Testing Authority (NATA) accredited fuel testing services and other ancillary services to the Department to determine compliance with fuel quality standards made under the Fuel Quality Standards Act 2000 and Regulations;
- and maintain laboratory instruments to be used exclusively by the Department’s Inspectors to screen fuel samples in the field;
- dangerous goods storage facilities in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane Adelaide and Perth for the Department’s fuel samples, including the provision of refrigerated storage fuel sample storage cabinet/s for of the Department and space for other assorted sampling equipment;
- technical advice on test methods for existing standards, proposed standards and variations to standards; and
- Job Safety Analysis for fuel sampling activities including petrol, diesel, ethanol E85, auto gas and onsite testing.
The Department will use this RFT process to identify one supplier to enter into a Contract for the provision of these requirements for a period of 4 years from 1 January 2014 until 31 December 2017.
