Design and Construction of Rushworth Sewer Manhole Replacement Project

All GVW Contractors who tender for work with a total of 100k or more will be required to have a third party certified safety system e.g. AS/NZS 4801:2001

Removal and reconstruction of eleven (11) sewerage manholes and associated works as shown in Figures 1, 2 and 3 in the Technical Specification. The existing manholes have been chemically attacked by H2S gas and the Corporation seeks a H2S resistant manhole (i.e. plastic or GRP, although other materials will be considered). The scope of works is as follows (eleven sites):

• Site inspection of each site to confirm all site specific works and materials required (manhole dimensions, existing pipework arrangement, site access, traffic management, stakeholder

engagement, existing services). Contract to assume that actual manhole height is within 300mm of GIS listed height.

• Photo only dilapidation survey.

• Traffic management (if required).

• Existing service location.

• Setting out the works.

• Bypass of live sewer if required as part of the Contractor’s methodology.

• Removal and disposal of existing manhole and other waste.

• Supply and installation of new H2S resistant manhole, including all fittings, pipework, covers and earthworks.

• Reinstatement the surrounding surface to existing condition, including finishes.

• As constructed survey to confirm the following:

• Plan view showing general site layout with:
  • North arrow
  • Manhole
  • Pipes
  • Flow arrows
• As constructed elevations to AHD
  • Top of lid
  • Invert of all pipes
• Dimensions of the following:
  • Manhole
  • All pipes

A compulsory site inspection is Not required.
