Description

The Public Transport Authority of Western Australia (PTA) is responsible for providing an integrated public transport system which includes bus, coach, train, ferry and other services throughout Western Australia.
The PTA has as its aim to increase the use of public transport through the provision of customer-focused, reliable, safe and cost effective passenger transport services and to make public transport an attractive sustainable choice for connecting people and places. To ensure reliable service the PTA must have an effective CCTV Digital Video Management System, PTA has decided to replace and upgrade the existing system.
This project is a two (2) staged procurement process. The first stage which has been completed was an Expression of Interest (EOI) to determine the CCTV Digital Video Management System which best meets the PTA’s business needs. Due to the critical nature of this infrastructure to the operation of PTA the EOI also included the evaluation and selection of a proprietary product (Genetec – Security Centre) for the supply of the Public Transport Authority CCTV Video Management System (VMS).
The second stage is this Request for Tender which is for the product procurement of the selected replacement CCTV Digital Video Management System (Genetec – Security Centre).
