Mobile Support Services

Ambulance Victoria is seeking a contractor for Mobile Support Services.

The current services comprise of infield mobile mechanics that provide 4 shifts per day, 7 days per week, 52 weeks per year for AV’s metropolitan fleet of vehicles. The mechanics undertake scheduled and unscheduled maintenance as well as stretcher and wheelchair servicing.

The objective of the mobile support service is to decrease paramedic out of service time by providing timely mobile in field support and repairs.

Ambulance Victoria will consider two options of service.

Tenderers can nominate their preference and submit one option or both options for AV’s consideration. AV will determine which service provides best value for money.

Revised Option 1: Availability based model.

Two shifts per day from both East and West locations for Metropolitan coverage.

Bids can be for both East and West or one of the locations.

Option 2: Call out model.

Bids and pricing based on a per call out basis.

The Contractor must be able to service all of AV’s Metropolitan fleet. AV requires a Contractor located in Metropolitan Melbourne that can provide timely responses to meet AV requirements as outlined in this specification.

The services include;

- scheduled and unscheduled maintenance for AV vehicles including the supply of labour and vehicle parts;

- tyre replacement program; and

- stretcher and stretcher loader service program (AV will provide the successful Contractor with stretcher and stretcher loader parts inventory).
