Description
The Department of National Parks, Sport and Racing has two timber lighthouses in the Great Sandy Strait which were built in 1866, one at North Bluff and the other at Middle Bluff on Big Woody
Island.
The two buildings are included on both the Queensland Heritage Register. The work, the subject of this specification of work, comprises the repairs and restoration of the lighthouse at Middle Bluff, and excludes any work on the North Bluff lighthouse.
Only one contractor will be awarded the contract and the works are to be completed by late August 2016.
