Description
The Government Employees Superannuation Board (GESB) is a statutory authority responsible for administering the superannuation schemes established and continued under the State Superannuation Act 2000 (WA), and a number of other defined benefit schemes. GESB requires a life insurance company, registered under section 21 of the Life Insurance Act 1995 (Cth), with significant experience in providing Australian Group Insurance in the Superannuation market to provide Death, Total and Permanent Disablement (TPD) and Salary Continuance Insurance (SCI) and associated insurance services for members of GESB’s West State Super (WSS) and GESB Super schemes. Insurance for Death, TPD and SCI for the WSS and GESB Super schemes is currently provided by AIA Australia Ltd (AIAA). The current contract GESB14001 expires 30 June 2025. GESB requires the new insurance arrangements to be in place by 1 July 2025.
