Stage 2 - Supply & Installation of High Pressure Pump, Motor & VSD

The Gold Coast Waterways Authority (GCWA) is proposing to carry out refurbishment works on the Gold Coast Seaway Sand Bypass System to maintain functional reliability and to improve operational efficiency particularly with regard to power consumption.

Phase 1 of the works includes the replacement of the existing AC low pressure pipeline between the low pressure pump station and the high pressure pumps. This Contract has been awarded and is scheduled to be completed by mid 2016.

GCWA requires a suitably qualified, experienced and resourced supply Contractor to supply and install equipment required for Stage 2 of the Sand Bypassing System Refurbishment Works. The successful Contractor will be required to undertake the supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of equipment and materials under the requirements of the Contract. The scope of the refurbishment works includes: supply, delivery, installation, testing, calibrating and commissioning of one (1) new High Pressure Pump with 3.3kV Motor and Variable Speed Drive. This contract will also include:
1. Decommissioning, removal and removal one old pump (WP3)
2. Supply and installation of:
- pipework, valves, fittings and all other appurtenances required for the connection
- flow meters
- electricals and controls
- modifications to existing switchboard
- modifications to the control system
