Description of the goods and services to be provided

The works include re-sheeting sections of 70km Trail within the Carrai, Willi Willi and Werrikimbe National Parks and in particular Coachwood and Carrai Roads. Gravel sheeting is required to improve traction and reduce slippage, after reshaping the carriageway surface. This process involves adding a layer of gravel, typically around 150mm thick, to the existing surface to create a more stable and less slippery riding surface. Gravel re-sheeting typically involves loosening the existing surface (e.g., with a tyning machine) to ensure proper bonding with the new gravel layer. A layer of new gravel is then spread evenly across the surface. Finally, the gravel is compacted to create a solid, stable surface. The works may also include clearing regrowth and vegetation, repairing trail surfaces, clearing drainage structures and culvert cleaning and repairs. This engagement will involve the provision of various plant and equipment items, each with qualified operators, under a wet hire arrangement. The equipment required includes: • D4/D5 Bulldozer with 6-way PAT blade • Grader • Roller • Water Cart • Rigid Truck • Posi Track • Moxy 30T Articulated Dump Truck • 1.7 Tonne Excavator • 14 Tonne Excavator Note: Plant may be required intermittently across different stages and must be available on an as-needed basis to meet program timelines.
