Procurement of a Smart Places lead to lead and deliver the Safer Cities Program.nThe Program is a $30M initiative funded over two financial years (2022/23 and 2023/24) nunder the NSW Womens Economic Opportunities Review.The Program aims align with nthe United Nations Safer Cities for Girls programme to support the UNs Sustainable nDevelopment Goals in a NSW context:n1. Increased women and girls safety and access to public spaces (Streets and Open nSpace)n2. Increased women and girls active and meaningful participation in urban ndevelopment and governancen3. Increased women and girls autonomous mobility in the city.nThe Program has five streams that will research, engage, pilot and test change to make ntrips safer for women and girls in our urban centres. This work will focus on key sites nsuch as transport nodes, education facilities, public spaces and high streets.
