Carbon Emissions Pledge- data review

In response to directives from the former Victorian Government Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) in 2018 and 2021 to demonstrate the organisations commitments to reducing its Greenhouse Gas Emissions consistent with government polic, NEW submitted pledges to fulfil the requirements associated with the Statements of Obligations (SoO) of each directive.

The data used in these submissions was prepared internally by NEW using methods understood to be consistent with National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER) Scheme. The data was collated on various spreadsheets and used to demonstrate scenarios set out in the directives, as well as demonstrate the effects of initiatives NEW have developed to deliver sustained reductions in Greenhouse Gas Emissions.

As North East Water Corporation progresses with additional identified opportunities to achieve its stated objectives contained in the submitted SoO, the organisation would like to conduct a review to confirm the accuracy and consistency of the collated data to ensure it provides a solid accurate baseline to demonstrate ongoing performance.
