Request for Tender Provision of Steel-Cased Boreholes for the Installation of Seismometers as part of the Pilbara Seismic Array.

Description
A minimum of Ten (10) Steel-cased Boreholes is required, to a depth of 30m per hole, however Geoscience Australia at its sole and absolute discretion, may increase the number to a total of Fifteen (15) steel-cased holes.
a) Geoscience Australia anticipates a final decision on the number of holes will be made by the end of April 2010.
The Boreholes are to be progressed into a large granite batholith with competent rock in the top 20m to 40m, and drilled to a depth of 30 meters to ensure ideal connection to the bedrock and provide temperature stability.
The Contractor will procure and convey all water needed for operations, and undertake all site preparation, including but not limited to clearance of vegetation, and make-good at the completion of the works.
