The project includes the upgrading and refurbishmnet of existing infrastructure facilities to meet HMAS Stirling's operational and support capabilities.

The consultant must carry out all tasks to facilitate achieving: planning phase agreement under the Managing Contractor Contract (MCC), the development of the Detailed Business Case (DBC) and Parliamentary Works Committee (PWC) clearance.

The project's planning phase timeframe is anticipated to be 64 weeks.

The total value of the project is estimated to be in the order of $170m.

The total value of the Project Management/Contract Administration services is only for the Planning Phase.

Tenders will be evaluated on the basis described in the Tender Documents.

The National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry and the Australian Government Implementation Guidelines for the National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry, reissued June 2006, apply to this project.

The Australian Government Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme authorised by the Building and Construction Industry Improvement Act 2005 (Cth) and the Building and Construction Industry Improvement (Accreditation Scheme) Regulations 2005 (Cth) applies to this contract.
