DBCA440ST3172023 - Provision of Fixed Wing Aircraft and Pilots to Carry Out Aerial Ignition and Bush Fire Support Activities in Kimberley Region
Details
Description
The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) requires provision of either fixed wing turbine engine aircraft or fixed wing piston engine aircraft, with qualified pilot(s), to carry out aerial ignition, fire support activities, charter services and other airborne tasks as part of DBCA’s fire management operations.
Services will principally be required for the Kimberley Region, with consideration for deployment to other regions within Western Australia as required.
The contracted aircraft may be based at various centres or airstrips during periods of hire, dependent on seasonal conditions. There is a strong preference for the contracted company and aircraft to be based at the Nominated Operating Base (refer Section 2.1.5 Nominated Operating Base).
The Services will generally be performed during February to July, however; some aerial charter services may be requested at any point in time throughout the contract term.
