Jurien Bay Boat Harbour Breakwater Extension - Detail Design

The main purpose of the Services is for the Consultant to review the Department of Transport (DoT) in-house developed preliminary design based on the most viable concept layout to reduce wrack ingress by BMT Commercial Australia Pty Ltd (2018) and UWA (2020) for the proposed Jurien Bay Boat Harbour (JBBH ) Northern Breakwater Extension Works. Though dependant on the nature and extent of the review comments, the Consultant will either endorse the DoT in-house preliminary design or develop an optimised version of this preliminary design with Consultant proposed amendments. DoT will consider any proposed amendment to the preliminary design and if acceptable, the Consultant will proceed to develop the final “Issued for Tender” design. Subsequently, the Consultant shall deliver a detailed design, an updated design report, and Issued for Tender (IFT) Specifications and Drawings, that document the detailed design and the required scope of work to be completed by a construction contractor. These shall be used by the DoT to facilitate a public tender for the JBBH Northern Breakwater Extension Works and build the breakwater extension. The Consultant shall also be available to provide on-going technical support during the execution of the JBBH Northern Breakwater Extension Works, including the Issued for Construction (IFC) updates to the Specifications and Drawings as a minimum.
