A world class trails hub is a successful, sustainable community outdoor activity area situated around high quality trails systems, community hospitality services, and related infrastructure.
Examples of world class trails hubs include; the 7 Stanes (Scotland); Mount Whistler Mountain Bike Park (Canada); and Trails Towns in the USA. Whilst some of the best examples are based on mountain bike activities, this project will not be limited to any one recreational mode of transport.
This project seeks to appoint a suitably qualified consultant to:
• Research world wide best practice in the development of Trails Hubs;
• Create a blueprint that shows how Dwellingup and Pemberton can become world class trails hubs; and
• Develop a strategy for trails hubs in Western Australia, including recommendations, communications and implementation.
