Description

As part of its Inspectors’ development program, over a period of three (3) years, the Resources Safety Division of the Department of Mines and Petroleum requires that approximately 50 nominated Resource Safety Inspectors are to be trained toward the attainment of four units only found within the Certificate IV in Government (Statutory Compliance), namely being:
• Investigate non-compliance (PSPREG404C);
• Prepare a Brief of Evidence (PSPREG409B);
• Give Evidence (PSPREG410B); and
• Gather Information Through Interviews (PSPREG411A).
In conjunction with these four units, a contract requirement is the inclusion of a mock courtroom activity. The function of this requirement will be as an assessment of all prior course work completed within the delivery of the four units. This will operate as a means to obtaining Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for the courtroom component of the Diploma in Government (Workplace Inspection).
