EMERGENCY PLANNING, MANAGEMENT AND TRAINING SERVICES

Description
The successful Tenderer will be required to provide the following services:
i.review of current emergency management arrangements, plans and procedures, including evacuation diagrams and recommendations for compliance with AS 3745-2010 Planning for Emergencies in Facilities, Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (WHS Act), WHS Regulation 2011, Managing the work environment and facilities – Code of Practise (Safe Work Australia, May 2018) and In Queensland:
•The Fire and Emergency Services Act 1990;
•Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008; •
•The Fire and Rescue Service Act 1990;
•Workplace Health and Safety Act 1995;
•The Building Code of Australia 1996;
ii.provide emergency management and response training, including but not limited to site specific Emergency Control Organisation, Warden Training. Emergency Warning Intercommunication System training for control teams (Chief and Deputy Chief Wardens);
iii. provide electronic versions of Emergency Plans, including Emergency Response Procedures, emergency evacuation plans, Evacuation Diagrams and training schedules for each site (including shared occupancy sites) in line with State/Territory regulatory requirements;
iv.identify the legislative, statutory and training responsibilities of Home Affairs and the owners of the lease sites in each state/territory and on the basis of this work, assist Home Affairs to meet its Statutory Responsibilities or act on its behalf to do so, especially Queensland where it will fulfil the responsibility of a Fire Safety Adviser.
v.Meet particular Reporting Requirements to Home Affairs to ensure the services are being provided in accordance with AS 3745-2010 Planning for Emergencies in Facilities, Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (WHS Act), WHS Regulation 2011 and Managing the work environment and facilities – Code of Practise (Safe Work Australia, May 2018; and Home Affairs contractual and management purposes; and
vi.Additional Services that may arise from time to time, e.g. special training to meet specific Home Affairs requirements.
