The DCJ Cyber Risk, Audit and Compliance (CRAC) team is looking to implement a solution that provides Web Application Firewall Capability and Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) protection. A Web Application Firewall (WAF) is a security solution designed to protect web applications from attacks such as Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), SQL injection, and other application-layer attacks. The rationale behind a WAF is to provide an additional layer of defence to an organisation's web applications, which are often the primary target of cyberattacks. DDoS protection helps remediate the risk of a DDoS attack, which is a type of cyber-attack where multiple compromised systems flood a targeted website or network with traffic, making it unavailable to legitimate users. Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks can cause significant damage to an organisation by disrupting its operations, causing service outages, and damaging its reputation.This contract is for licenses and support services of the Cloudflare software solution for it's WAF and DDoS protection requirements.
