The University of Queensland - School of Medicine is inviting offer submissions for the purchase of equipment as per below:

Diagnostic Equipment for Hospital use

Diagnostic medical equipment is required for the Greenslopes Private Hospital. The University of Queensland has received grant funding to support additional equipment for the Emergency Department to assist in the diagnostics of patients and teaching of medical students within this discipline.

PART A

  • Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) system

Optical signal acquisition and processing of 3 dimensional images from optical scattering media.
Preferred specifications:
Spectral Domain OCT Machine
High resolution scanning laser ophthalmoscope
3-4 micron resolution
6 layers of segmentation of the retina
Retinal and nerve head topography maps
Retinal nerve fibre layer scan and normative database
Progressional analysis
Motorised Table
Colour laser printer

PART B

  • Portable Diagnostic Ultrasound Imaging machines

Portable ultrasound imaging machines for multi-specialty use.
Intended use for CE region and FDA regions.

CE Region: Within the disciplines of gynaecology, obstetrics, abdominal paediatric, small organs, cephalic, trans cranial, musculoskeletal, cardiac, vascular, urology, orthopaedics, nerve and intraoperative exams.

FDA Regions: Foetal, abdominal intraoperative (abdominal, thoracic and vascular), paediatric, small organ (breast, thyroid, testes, neonatal and adult cephalic, trans-rectal, trans-vaginal, musculo-skeletal (conventional, superficial, cardiac (adult, paediatric), peripheral vessel and urology exam.

Desirable requirements but not limited to:
Probe types
– convex array, linear array, phased array.
Scanning methods – electronic convex with extended FOV, electronic linear with scanning and trapezoid, electronic sector.
