Australian Government Department of Home Affairs
Air Charter Services Procurement
Details
Description
The Australian Border Force (ABF) has drawn together the operational border, investigations, compliance, detention and enforcement functions of the two existing agencies. Policy, regulatory and corporate functions are combined within the broader Department. The Department is committed to protecting Australia’s border and managing the movement of people and goods across it.
Aircraft are required to meet operational demands for the transfer of detainees between onshore and offshore detention facilities, to support Operation Sovereign Borders, provide medical transfers, complex international removal operations, pre and post-positioning of Marine Crew changeovers and other ad hoc activities. ABF Charters requires use of heavy jet aircraft capable of long range operations into remote airfields, as well as smaller aircraft where appropriate for minor activities. Aircraft will be deployed for both onshore and offshore activities.
The Department has a requirement for the provision of Air Charter Services. The Department seeks to engage suitably qualified Tenderer(s) for the provision of the services as outlined in the Request for Tender.
