Rockhampton North Campus Fire Main & Water Main Design

CQUniversity’s Rockhampton North campus sits on 132 hectares and was first established in 1967. Since then, the campus has undergone multiple expansions resulting in a diverse range of new buildings, roads, and recreation areas. CQUniversity is looking to engage the services of a suitably qualified design consultant with demonstrated experience in pressurised fire main and water main design.

While the focus is on the fire main, consideration will need to be addressed in the proposed design as the original fire main and water main are laid in a common trench in some locations.

CQUniversity will require an updated design for both the fire main and water main.

The existing fire main has been extended over the years (approx. 3,000 meters) as new buildings have been added to the campus. This main is currently experiencing pressurisation issues.
