Transport, Installation and Removal of Sheet Piles

RoadTek are undertaking bridge rehabilitation works on the Bowen Road Bridge, Townsville, from chainage Ch: 5.766 to Ch: 5.999km as shown in the locality plan. The project includes rehabilitation of concrete piles and pile caps of the bridge.
As part of the works RoadTek are required to construct a temporary access track / bund wall and sheet pile wall that will allow the works to be undertaken in the dry. The wall is to be suitable to maintain access and protect the works through all tides. The wall is to be installed as per the design specifications in these tender documents.
The Bowen Road Bridge is a tidal saltwater environment. The bridge is located on Bowen Road in Townsville between Rosslea and Idalia and this is an urban environment with predominantly housing surrounding the river. Strict environmental controls will influence the works including, noise, vibration, air quality, water quality and treatment, acid sulphate soils, erosion and sediment control and fauna and flora management
