Description
The District Council of Mount Barker operates a waste water treatment plant desiged for tertiary treatment of effluent to class A classification (South Australian Water Guidelines).
Within the plant there are two (2) Memcor continuous microfiltration (CMF) units, one (1) 90M10C(CMF unit 1) and the other 60M10C (CMF unit 2). Air backwashing and a common clean in place system using sodium hydroxide and citric acid has been used. The CMF unit consists of M10C modules with polypropylene fibres standard packing density.
Council is seeking to replace the existing filter sub-modules in the 90M10C unit and expand the capacity of the 60M10C unit by utilising thirty (30) sleceted sub-modules from the existing 90M10C unit. The new modules are to be compatible with the exisiting plant and process.
