Description

The Department of Mines and Petroleum is planning to undertake a drilling program in the south west of Western Australia.

This Request is for the provision of core analysis services for that program.

The drilling program will involve drilling and collecting data from two (2) types of bores, a total of three (3) bores, namely Harvey 2, Harvey 3 and Harvey 4:

  1. Harvey 2 and 3 are to be fully cored, drilled with a mineral rig capable of drilling PQ sized bores to a depth of around 1,400 metres to 1,500 metres.
  2. Hydrostratigraphic bore, Harvey 4 is to be drilled with rotary rig capable of drilling a 174.6 millimetres (6⅞ inches) to 215.9 millimetres (8½ inches) hole to a depth of around 1,400 metres to 1,500 metres. This bore is to be completed with a cemented 139.7 millimetres (5½ inches) casing.

It is expected that the cores will be available for analysis from December 2014.
