Request for Proposals to Form an Alliance for the New Underground Wellington Street Bus Station

The Perth City Link transport project deals with the rail and bus elements of the project and is to be delivered by the PTA. This consists of two components which are:
(a) the lowering of a section of the Fremantle Line in Perth by the Perth City Link Rail Alliance (PCLRA). The construction works have already commenced through an Alliance Agreement awarded to John Holland Pty Ltd and GHD Pty Ltd consortium on the 26th, May 2011; and
(b) the construction of the new Bus Station to replace the existing above ground Wellington Street Bus Station.

These works including related works and enabling works necessary to complete the scope of the Perth City Link transport project are described in the two master plans that have been developed and approved for this project. These are:
(a) the Perth City Link Rail Master Plan: Lowering of the Fremantle Railway in Perth; and
(b) the Perth City Link Bus Master Plan: New Underground Wellington Street Bus Station.

Following the completion of the Perth City Link Rail works, the construction of the new Bus Station is to be operational by mid-2016.
The Works for the Project include all investigation, design, construction, testing and commissioning required to establish an operating underground bus station to replace the existing bus station on Wellington Street. The new Bus Station is to be located north of the existing station and south of the new Fremantle railway tunnel.
