Description

The Department of Sport and Recreation (DSR) wishes to engage an external consultant to conduct a review of its existing Indigenous Sport Program (ISP), with a view to identifying current examples of best practice within the program including; projects that support Indigenous leadership, local solutions, personal responsibility, innovative partnerships and rebuilding community norms; existing gaps in service delivery; and how the program could be more successfully coordinated and implemented.

The key outcomes being pursued through the ISP in WA are to:

1. Increase the capacity of Aboriginal people and communities to organize and deliver sport events/activities,
2. Increase participation in sport, and
3. Enhance access to facilities.
