Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care
Ear and Hearing Assessment Equipment Supply, Maintenance and Calibration Services
Details
Description
The Department is seeking tenders for the supply, maintenance and calibration of ear and hearing assessment equipment.
Since 2011, the Ear and Hearing Assessment Equipment program (the Program) has supplied, maintained and repaired ear and hearing health assessment equipment in Commonwealth funded Aboriginal Medical Services and other primary health services with a predominance of Indigenous clients. Guidance about the types of equipment supplied through the Program is provided by an expert advisory group established by the Department of Health (the Department).
The supply and maintenance of ear and hearing health assessment equipment through the Program improves access to timely detection, management and treatment of otitis media in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
The Program provides a range of equipment to Commonwealth funded Aboriginal Medical Services and other health services with a predominance of Indigenous clients (Recipients) free of charge. Equipment may be provided to other relevant organisations on a case-by-case basis.
