Description
The engineering support will be required to assist with a range of Defence Estate Electrical Engineering responsibilities associated with electrical installations within hazardous areas and explosive areas or within Aeronautical Ground Lighting systems.
In relation to each respective Package, the service provider will be required to assist with the following tasks within their relevant area of expertise:
- Review aspects of various facilities planning and project submissions for compliance with Defence policies and other statutory requirements:
- Review of Design Documentation against the provisions of the requirements of the Defence Estate Quality Management System (DEQMS) policy, Defence Policies and any other statutory requirements:
- Assessment of briefs, reports and alternative engineered solutions:
- Participate in policy development activities as requested:
- Participate in inspection and audit programs:
- On certain occasions when considered appropriate attend witness and commissioning testing and or participate in project team meetings to provide policy and compliance guidance where necessary and appropriate:
- Liaise with internal and external organisations and provide timely, accurate and professional advice in relation to infrastructure policy:
- Preparation of correspondence, briefs, reports and technical papers.
