The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development?s (DPIRD?s) Shark Response Unit (SRU) is responsible for delivering the key components of the Western Australian Government?s shark hazard mitigation strategy, including managing the Shark Notification and Response System (SNRS). The SNRS consists of several interrelated, aging information technology systems that are utilised in partnership with Western Australia (WA) Water Police and Surf Life Saving WA (SLSWA) to enhance WA?s community safety and to assist people in making informed decisions about their water use. The SRU also aims to transition vendor-support of several existing applications to a single vendor and look to the single vendor to be capable of supporting future enhancements and maintenance of the transitioned applications. Through this procurement, DPIRD is seeking to appoint a ICT Project Manager to oversee, manage and deliver the project.
