Transfer Station Site Control Services

Mackay Regional Council is renewing some of its suite of waste management contracts which reach expiry dates in during 2020.

This tender is for the Site Control Services to be provided at Council’s transfer stations.

Council has minor (‘rural’) transfer stations at the following locations:

• Bloomsbury: Bloomsbury Back Road, Bloomsbury;
• Eungella: 58 Bee Creek Road, Eungella;
• Gargett: Gargett Dump Road, Gargett;
• Hay Point: Ceder Street, Hay Point;
• Kolijo: 376 Kolijo – Mount Pelion Road, Kolijo;
• Koumala: Bolingbroke Road, Koumala;
• Kuttabul: McGills Road, Kuttabul;
• Otterburn: Brand Road, Mirani;
• Sarina: 223 Brooks Road, Sarina; and
• Seaforth: Seaforth Dump Road, Seaforth.

Council also has a major waste management centre in the southern suburbs of Mackay:

• Paget Waste Management Centre (‘Paget WMC’): 42 Crichton’s Road, Paget.

All of the above locations are a ‘Site’ for the purposes of the contract.

The Services required at the Sites includes both:

• Site Gatehouse Services: gatehouse security and cash transfer services at each Site; and
• Site Management Services: the management of transfer station activity and site maintenance services at each Site other than Paget WMC.

The term of the contract will be three (3) years from commencement plus two options of a one-year extension at Council’s discretion on the same terms (a Services Commencement Date of 29 February 2020, and initial end of term on 28 February 2023, unless the one year extension(s) are implemented by Council).
