Mornington Island Hospital generator and switchboard replacement project

North West Hospital and Health Service (NWHHS) invites tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to undertake construction of the Mornington Island generator and switchboard replacement project (the project). The project’s scope is outlined in the specifications – included in “Attachment 3 – Specifications”.
NWHHS has issued this ITT with the objectives to complete the project:

• in accordance with the scope and specification
• with minimal impact on the day-to-day operations of the hospital
• with minimal impact or inconvenience to the hospital’s patients, staff and visitors
• with sensitivity to diversity, including cultural respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
• with no environmental, health or safety incidents
• on time and within budget
• with no defects in the works.

In addition, NWHHS has a strong focus on developing local business and employment. NWHHS expects that, wherever possible, local subcontractors will be used. Additionally, during the project’s delivery phase, the contractor will be expected to report monthly on the ratio of local to non-local trainee and apprentice workforce.
