James Cook University (JCU) is seeking Proposals for Townsville Douglas Campus Carpark and Joseph Banks Drive Replacement Project​.

Request for Tender (RFT) and Project Overview

James Cook University’s Townsville / Bebegu Yumba Campus is located south west of Townsville CBD. To support the expanding campus and in particular the Townsville Student Accommodation (TSA) and Technology Innovation Complex (TIC) buildings, a decision has been made by JCU construct a new carpark adjacent to Joseph Banks Drive as well as the replacement of the same to support access to and from the new carpark.

The Contract proposed is an AS4902 — 2000 (JCU Amended) Design and Construct Contract as a two-stage process with a hold point after the design period. Both components of the project will be delivered under a lump sum price with a final lump sum price for construction being provided as part of the final design submission.
