25-04 Leongatha WWTP Upgrades - Inlet Works and MHL Chemical Dosing

South Gippsland Water invites tenders for the design, supply and construction works at the Leongatha Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). Tenderers must provide lump sum pricing for each Separable Portion for the tender submission to be considered compliant in the following.

· Separable Portion A – Inlet Works Renewal/Upgrade

Replacement of the existing inlet works (over 20 years old) to improve screening and grit removal, restore treatment performance, enhance reliability, and eliminate manual handling hazards.

· Separable Portion B – Magnesium Hydroxide Liquid (MHL) Chemical Dosing System Upgrade

Installation of a permanent MHL chemical dosing system (including unloading bund) to provide safe, reliable, and consistent dosing, addressing OHS risks and improving process stability.

These upgrades will ensure compliance with EPA licence conditions and support the sustainable management of treated wastewater for the township.

A non-mandatory briefing session outlining the tender opportunity and scope of works will commence on Thursday 11^th September 2025 at 11am via Microsoft Teams. Contractors are required to register their intention to attend with Shelaan Mathes with at least 48 hours' notice.

A mandatory site visit outline the scope and surroundings will commence on Tuesday 16^th September at 1pm at Leongatha WWTP, 1 Begg Street, Leongatha (towards the western end of Begg St). Contractors must register their intention to attend with Shelaan Mathes (contact information below) with at least 48 hours notice.
