Description

The Passenger Transport Board is seeking Requests for Proposals to provide a Regular Passenger Transport Service (Medical) that will link Tailem Bend, Murray Bridge and Adelaide for referred medical appointments. The proposed passenger transport services for people with medical conditions are specialised in nature and therefore are subject to formal specifications, such as

  • Vehicle available between 8:00am and 7:00pm each working day, dependent on the appointment times of passengers;
  • Service provision with high awareness of passenger needs and comfort, including the assistance of passengers to medical rooms; and
  • Current First Aid Certificate held by all drivers to ensure they are capable of dealing with passenger health problems that may arise during a journey.
An Industry Briefing Session will be held for all interested parties to provide specific passenger and service information relating to the proposed services. This Briefing Session will be held on Wednesday, 15th May 2002 at the offices of the Coorong District Council, 95 Railway Terrace, Tailem Bend from 1:00pm – 3:00pm. Registrations of interest to attend the Briefing Session should be directed to Nathan Agius, Integrated Regional Services Branch on 8303 0523.
