Electrofishing vessel and associated equipment.

Offers are invited by the State of Queensland (acting through the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry) in relation to Invitation to Offer (Invitation) No: DAFF1305 for the provision of a 5.9m Electro-fishing Vessel as specified in this Invitation document.

The Department requires the Vessel to undertake a range of Electro-fishing related research projects. The Department’s current Vessel, a 5.9m plate aluminium vessel, fitted with an 115hp Evinrude outboard motor, is due for replacement due to age. This vessel has been used for a range of projects to undertake Electro-fishing surveys and fish stocking exercises across various dam, river and creek environs throughout Southern, South-Eastern and Western Queensland. Access to these environs is predominantly by dirt or gravel roads, with the vessel and trailer being launched under off-road conditions, particularly steep muddy banked rivers and creeks. The new vessel will be expected to be able to perform the same role.
