Building Inspection Panel

VMIA is seeking to renew its panel of building inspection services providers (Panel).

The Panel is made up of suitably qualified and experienced building inspectors (Service Providers) who provide independent and objective building inspection services (Services).
The Services are mainly utilised as a part of the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) Domestic Building Insurance (DBI) claims management process, specifically to assess the loss incurred by homeowners as a result of incomplete and / or defective building works. One of the core functions of VMIA’s DBI team is to manage approximately 2,000 DBI claims per year.

Through this Invitation Process, VMIA is seeking offers from suitably qualified organisations to provide services as outlined below in accordance with the Conditions of Invitation included in this Invitation. It is VMIA’s intent to appoint a number of Suppliers (on a non-exclusive basis) to provide the Services across one or more regions of Victoria.

In seeking to appoint a number of Suppliers, VMIA wishes to increase the participation of small to medium business’s (SMB) in the inspections program, particularly in regional areas. Therefore, VMIA strongly encourages SMBs in both metropolitan Melbourne and the regions to provide an Offer to this Invitation.

A supplier briefing session will be held on 12th May 2023 From 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm.
Attendance is not mandatory.
