Description
The District Council of Mount Barker and the Heritage Branch of the Department for Environment & Heritage are seeking to engage the services of a suitably qualified and experienced Heritage Adviser to provide timely and professional advice on a broad range of heritage conservation issues across the district. This includes the Hahndorf State Heritage Area.
The outcomes sought to be achieved through the advice are:
(a) to provide for the proper care and management of State and Local Heritage Places in the Distrcict Council ofr Mount Barker;
(b) to create and promote local awareness and responsibility for the care of State and Local Heritage Places and properties within Historic (Conservation) Zones; and
(c) to provide a service which encourages and assists property owners to take care of heritage places.
