Description

The Clinical Physics division of the Health Technology Management Unit (HTMU) in the East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS) provides a radiation protection service at Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) and Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH). Occupationally exposed staff at both hospitals have their radiation exposure monitored in order to meet the legislative requirements of the Western Australian Radiation Safety Act (1975) and the Radiation Safety (General) Regulations (1983). Area radiation dose surveys and monitoring of finger radiation dose is also performed on an ad hoc basis.

The intention of this Request is to establish a panel of suppliers to supply and deliver personal radiation monitors for monitoring of occupationally exposed staff by a service provider approved under Regulation 25A of the WA Radiation Safety (General) Regulations (1983) and for the supply of area badges and finger dosimeters as required. The suppliers will also read the personal radiation monitors and supply the dose information to HTMU.
