Event Staging and Management Services for the Prime Minister's Prizes for Science Awards Dinner

Seven Prime Minister’s Prizes for Science are awarded annually for achievement in science, innovation and excellence in science teaching.

The prizes are awarded by the Prime Minister and Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science at a dinner awards ceremony usually during the Parliamentary Spring sitting week in October.

This is a high profile event with approximately 500 invited guests including Ministers, Parliamentarians, senior representatives of research performing/funding agencies senior University representatives (Vice Chancellors, Chancellors and Deans), industry groups, members of the Learned Academies and distinguished members of the science and science education communities and the media.

The event is considered the most important in the Australian science calendar and it is imperative that arrangements are in place at the awards dinner to ensure an optimal outcome, including professional stage and event and audio-visual management for a smooth running of the awards proceedings during the awards dinner.

Accordingly, the Department invites suitably qualified consultants/contractors to submit a tender for the provision of event staging and management services and supply of appropriate audio-visual and technical equipment for the Prime Minister’s Prizes for Science Awards Dinner in 2016, 2017 and 2018, with a possible extension for 2019 and 2020.
