Supply, Placement and Compaction of asphalt (DG14) Deck Wearing Surface Burnett River Bridge Eidsvold

This offer is for the Supply, Placement and Compaction of asphalt (DG14) Deck Wearing Surface (DWS) on the steel deck at the Burnett River Bridge (Eidsvold – Theodore Road) approximately 7km West of Eidsvold.

SCHEDULE OF WORKS
The works associated with this tender will be broken into two separate stages and it is anticipated that the work will need to be completed the week prior to Easter (02/04/2012 – 05/04/2012). These dates will be confirmed by RoadTek.
Stage 1 – This stage will involve the placement of an initial DWS (DG14) over the newly placed steel deck (Spans 1-7) to provide an adequate running surface for a profiler to lay the top course.
Stage 2 – These works are to follow stage 1 works and will include a machine paved 40mm top course (DG14) over the entire bridge (Spans 1 – 16) including machine profiling of the abutments to provide a smooth transition between the DWS and approaches.
