WORKS PACKAGE 1 - RAAF BASES PEARCE AND GIN GIN:

$30m - $45m

RAAF Base Pearce - Aircraft Pavement Works

1.Asphalt resurfacing of Runway 05-23, Taxiway D and Taxiway A2 including shoulders.

2.Modify Runway 05-23 Graded Strip Width, including Gable Markers, to comply with current Defence Standards.

3.Reconstruction of the Ordnance Loading Apron (OLAs) on Taxiway D4 in concrete.

4.Flank Regrading.

5.Retention and stockpiling of asphalt millings at designated site.

RAAF Base Pearce - Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL)

6.A new airfield lighting equipment room (ALER) facility for new constant current regulators (CCR), a local emergency generator (LEG) and HVAC plant.

7.Installation of precision approach path indicators (PAPI) for both Runway 05 and Runway 23.

8.Upgrade of Runway 05-23 runway lighting system.

9.Provision of illuminated wind direction indicators (IWDI) for Runway 05-23.

10.Replacement of Runway 05-23 distance to run markers (DTRM) with internally illuminated signs on a dedicated circuit.

11.Provision of mandatory internally illuminated movement area guidance signs (MAGS).

12.New taxiway centreline lighting for Taxiways A2, A3, D (segments D1, D2, D3 and D4) and Z.

13.Provision of a major trunk pit and ducting system from the new ALER to the pit and duct system near Runway 18L Threshold.

14.Decommissioning and demolition of the existing ALER.

RAAF Base Gin Gin - Aircraft Pavement Works

15.Asphalt resurfacing of Taxiways A, B, C, D, E, F and G.

16.Addition of fine crushed rock base course and/or thicker asphalt to Taxiways A, B, C, D and E in order to mitigate reflective cracking from the existing cemented base course.

17.Reconstruction of Taxiways F and G at the tie in to Runway 08-26 in order to achieve a consistent pavement strength across the taxiway network.

18.Asphalt surfacing of the shoulders on Taxiways A, B, C, D, E, F and G as well as the Western and Eastern Holding Bays.

19.Modification of the Runway Graded Strip width, including Gable Markers, to comply with the current Defence Standards.

20.Retention and stockpiling of asphalt millings at designated site.

RAAF Base Gin Gin - Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL)

21.Upgrade of all taxiway lighting systems including runway entry/taxiway exit lighting, associated cables and SITs. Where practicable, existing pit and duct systems will be reused.

22.Replace edge lighting on the Western and Eastern Holding Bays.

23.Upgrade holding position lighting.

24.Install new retroreflective Movement Area Guidance Signs (MAGS).

25.Install a new surge diverter cubicle at the Airfield Lighting Equipment Room (ALER).

WORKS PACKAGE 2 - RAAF BASE EAST SALE:

$75m - $95m

RAAF East Sale - Aircraft Pavement Works

1.Asphalt overlay of Runway 09-27 and Runway 04-22 including ORPs, shoulders and sealed RESAs with flank regrading as required.

2.Asphalt overlay of taxiways and shoulders including flank regrading as required.

3.Asphalt resurfacing of the Western Apron, Run-up Bay, King Air Apron and Southern Apron.

4.Asphalt resurfacing to tie in compliantly to the new AIR5428 pavement, including on the Eastern Apron.

5.Western Apron and King Air Apron works to account for changes in future usage and the introduction of a ‘Visiting Heavy Aircraft Parking Position’.

6.Reconstruction of selected drainage on the Western Apron and King Air Apron.

7.Reconstruction of selected concrete slabs on the PC9 Apron.

8.Widening of pavement fillets on Taxiways L, B4 and A3.

9.Widening of Taxiway C to accommodate heavy aircraft (compliant to Code C, but tracked for up to KC-30).

10.Retention and stockpiling of asphalt millings at designated site.

RAAF East Sale - Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL)

11.Installation of PAPI on Runway 04-22.

12.Installation of pit and duct system including spare conduit allowance for future runway lighting installations.

13.Upgrade of Runway 04-22 and Runway 09-27 lighting systems.

14.Replacement of Runway 04-22 and Runway 09-27 Movement Area Guidance Signs (MAGS), Tactical Air Navigational check point (TACAN) and Distance to Run Markers (DTRM).

15.Replacement of existing Wind Direction Indicators (WDIs) with Illuminated Wind Direction Indicators (IWDIs) on dedicated circuits.

16.New taxiway centreline lighting.

17.Replacement of all apron edge lights on the Southern Apron and ORPs with inset lights.

18.All new ALER equipment to be installed in the new ALER (Building provided by others).

19.Replacement of the AGL Control System (AGLCS).

20.New touch screen controller in the Air Traffic Control Facility Approach Control, Tower and Fire Station.

21.Miscellaneous works to bring the new ALER room in line with Defence standards.

22.Decommissioning of Existing ALER 1 and ALER 2 AGL services. Subject to Clause 25 of the Special Conditions, Optional Scope Work

23.Construction of new permanent Apron Floodlighting.

24.Power Supply to ALER.

WORKS PACKAGE 3 – ARMY AVIATION CENTRE (AAC) OAKEY:

$25m - $35m

AAC Oakey - Aircraft Pavement Works

1.Replanning, pavement strengthening and partial reconstruction of the Military Apron; including strengthening of selected taxilanes, shape correction, drainage works and concrete parking pad reconstruction.

2.Maintenance asphalt overlay of the Emergency Services Apron.

3.Retention and stockpiling of asphalt millings at designated site.

AAC Oakey - Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL)

4.Upgrade of Runway 05-23 lighting system.

5.Replacement of taxiway centreline lighting and installation of apron edge lights on Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Apron.

6.Re-spacing of entry/exit taxiway lights on Taxiway B2.

7.Installation of taxiway lighting and apron edge lighting on the Military Apron.

8.Installation of taxiway lighting and apron edge lighting on the Emergency Services Apron.
