Description
SAFA provides property and liability insurance cover to all State Government statutory authorities except those exempted by the Treasurer from the Government's insurance arrangements. SAFA protects it's exposures by effecting direct insurances to cover some specific risks it does not wish to retain and by effecting reinsurance to safeguard against a catastrophic loss or claim or a series of large losses or claims in a year.
SAFA requires the services of an appropriately qualified and resourced intermediary to provide advice and recommendations in relation to the above insurances and reinsurances and place same.
