Description

Rockingham General Hospital (RGH) undertakes both emergency and elective surgeries supported by the Hospital Sterile Supply Unit (HSSU). This unit is responsible for the reprocessing of reusable medical devices in accordance with AS/NZS 4187:2014 Reprocessing of reusable medical devices in health service organisations. Washer/Disinfectors form an important component of the process and are used in the automated cleaning and disinfection of surgical instruments used in the hospital.

The HSSU currently runs three pass-through washers, with pre-wash, ultrasonic cleaning, and automatic transfer system (ATS) in the decontamination area. These are approaching the end-of-useful life and require replacement. RGH is seeking a contemporary solution to meet the current and future requirements of the HSSU.
