Description
This EOI has been developed in order to ascertain the interest in, and canvass the
range of possibilities relating to the expansion of the Grants to After Hours General
Practice Program. EOIs will be sought from
· General Practitioners-including practices already operating extended hours
· Cooperatives of GPs-including existing services providing extended GP hours
· GP Networks-interested in coordinating General Practice After Hours (GPAH) in their areas
· GPs willing to work in an extended hours program, but not necessarily within their practice.
EOIs should outline:
· Practice and Practitioners details, credentials and experience.
· Geographical area serviced.
· Current practice after hours arrangements within their area.
· Expected expansion of current hours.
· Areas where assistance will be required to achieve extended hours.
Offers will be made based on the impact of the proposed extended hours on areas of known unmet need identified by statistical or other evidence. It is our intention to assist applicants and support proposals where deemed appropriate to implement the program.
