Infrastructure Concept Plans

The Macquarie Point Development Corporation (Corporation) needed an infrastructure concept and development strategy for Macquarie Point. This strategy could not be commenced until the endorsement of the Macquarie Point Strategic Framework and Masterplan (Masterplan) in June 2015 as the Masterplan set the high level principles of how the site would be developed. The Corporation needed to have the strategy completed before it submitted planning scheme amendments to Hobart City Council in August 2015.

The infrastructure concept strategy needed to consider the capability and adequacy of the existing infrastructure servicing the site taking into account the level of demand anticipated by the Masterplan. The strategy also needed to develop a reasonably detailed conceptual model for on-site infrastructure based on the Masterplan including the road network, stormwater, power, water, sewer, gas and telecommunications.
