SA Department of Human Services
DHS-26 Metropolitan and Country Gambling Help Services
Details
Description
The Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking to fund service providers to deliver the Metropolitan and Country Gambling Help Services (MCGHS) across the twelve South Australian Government Regions from 1 January 2020.
MCGHS are required to deliver effective support for those seeking gambling help through a range of treatment and support services across multiple delivery platforms that are available across South Australia. Services are also required to stimulate opportunities for early intervention for those at risk of gambling harm and to engage in prevention initiatives that build community awareness and attitudes about gambling. This approach is holistic, flexible and responsive to the diverse needs of South Australian communities and recognises that gambling harm affects not only individuals but also their families, friends and whole communities.
