Procurement of Electricity for Whole of Government (ACT) and Defence Sites in NSW

Defence requires a contractor/s to provide electricity to approximately 80 Commonwealth Government Agencies in the ACT and a number of large Defence sites in NSW.

This RFT comprises four service categories:

Category A - The supply of electricity to approximately 281 large market sites (>100 MWh pa) for Commonwealth Financial Management Act Agencies (including the Department of Defence) within the ACT with an estimated combined annual consumption of approximately 420 GWh. This will cover approximately 80 Commonwealth agencies. The opportunity may also be offered for small market sites (<100MWh pa) with a code compliant interval meter to move into Category A from category B.

Category B - The supply of electricity to approximately 192 small market sites (<100 MWh pa ) for Commonwealth Financial Management Act Agencies (including Department of Defence) within the ACT with an estimated annual consumption of 8 GWh. It is anticipated that a percentage discount to the applicable site based standard tariff would be offered. (Under Category A the opportunity may also be offered for some of these small market sites with a code compliant interval meter to move from Category B into Category A.)

Category C - The supply of electricity to 41 large market sites (>160 MWh pa) for Department of Defence sites within NSW with an estimated combined annual consumption of 172 GWh. The opportunity may also be offered for small market sites (<160MWh pa) with a code compliant interval meter to move into Category C from category D.

Category D - The supply of electricity to approximately 86 small market sites (<160 MWh pa) for Department of Defence sites within NSW with an estimated combined annual consumption of 4 GWh. It is anticipated that a percentage discount to the applicable site based standard tariff would be offered. (Note: Under Category C the opportunity may also be offered for some of these small market sites with a code compliant interval meter to move from Category D into Category C.)
